Gary Wilkinson

Director

Born on the banks of the Tyne, I entered the world of Recruitment in Brighton back in the mid 1980’s. An ability to create and maintain lasting professional relationships based on trust, endeavour and good humour has sustained my enthusiasm for the Industry ever since!

Bigg Group is an international specialist search firm focused on outsourcing, technology and communication companies. I believe it’s vital to take a personal approach in recruitment and prefer to travel to meet clients and candidates face-to-face to help me better understand their business and career aspirations. We are operating in exciting times and I now see tremendous opportunities for the identification of business leaders in the rapidly expanding world of digitisation and the convergence of tech and Communication technologies. Bigg Group currently serves this market both in the UK and overseas.

My experience of recruitment in the UK and international technology sector is extensive. I am very well connected in these areas and my 30-year career has been sustained through tenacity, a personable character and absolute integrity.

Paul Howarth

Director

I lead the Communications Practice at the Bigg Group. I have personally completed a range of mid-senior level hires including C-Suite appointments globally with various organisations in the Communications space.

The companies I work with include Fixed Line Carriers, Mobile Operators, Data Centres, Unified Communications firms and Cloud Providers. With an extensive network of senior contacts, one of my great strengths is my detailed knowledge of the sector and the community in which I operate.

I have a strong track record across a wide portfolio of clients in different parts of the industry and an excellent track record of completing difficult and complex hires. There are few if any Executive Search Consultants that will have as strong a network as I do in the Communications market.

In addition to being highly skilled in finding and delivery talent for my clients, I also have a great track record of providing world class advisory services to help organisations grow and mitigate risk when entering periods of change with my unique insight into the industry.

Martin Raeburn

As a specialist within the cutting-edge technology domain my key focus within the Bigg Group is on the placement of candidates at mid to senior level and above within the ever-emerging technology landscape.

With strong experience in partnering with small boutiques to Fortune 100 companies on an international level and having worked in the Middle East for over 5 years, I have a global database of over 10,000 passive candidates and real hands on experience with assisting companies across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia within the areas of Artificial Intelligence, IoT/M2M, Smart City, Autonomous Vehicles, Internet Connectivity, Blockchain, Big Data, Data Science and Cybersecurity.

I am always looking to develop my subject matter expertise and connect with leading talent from across the disruptive technology landscape and can often be found at international exhibitions, seminars and meetup groups.

I have lived and breathed recruitment for as long as I can remember, both across agency and in-house for major blue-chip companies. My career has spanned UK and international markets, having spent 9 years in NZ. I have been able to demonstrate growth in a variety of sectors, primarily within professional services.

Over the years, we’ve witnessed the recruitment landscape  shift with social and technological advances. As a result, I believe a focus on effective recruitment and hiring the right candidate has never been more important. In achieving this I have shown commitment and a strong ability to forge lasting relationships through trust and being personable. I work in close collaboration with clients and candidates.

I take a creative and proactive approach to sourcing candidates, particularly uncovering the passive market and networking communities. I always maintain integrity and discretion with everyone I engage with.

Most importantly, I do it all with diligence and a smile!

Josephine Frangiskou

Senior Search Consultant – Information Security

The sole focus of my recruitment career has been on cyber security and I have been exposed across different domains of the industry, as well as emerging trends in technology, industry best practices and laws and regulations.

My experience spans from security operations, incident response, threat intelligence and over the last two years my main focus has been on governance, risk and compliance. Having placed candidates at all levels across GRC, I have partnered with global corporations and have been exposed to UK and international markets. I have recently been heavily involved with GDPR hires and have carried out multiple hires with a leading tech consultancy, as well as end-user firms, including a global CRO.

My approach to recruitment spans beyond the virtual world, as I aim to develop my network through tech meet-ups, various exhibitions and seminars. As a result, I am able to source talent that is not found on job boards or mainstream social media.

Dominic Lawson

Technical Delivery Assistant – Blockchain Technology

My role at Bigg Group as a graduate trainee This is my first step into the Recruitment profession in my role as 'Blockchain Delivery Consultant' supporting Martin Raeburn in locating talent across the Blockchain eco-system.

Martin is an expert in this high-growth sector and Bigg Group is investing heavily in expanding their footprint in this revolutionary technology space. We seek specialists who operate at the higher levels of businesses of all kinds and who can make strong contributions to their prospective employers. Character wise, people who can mix their intellect with a desire to be open and fair in their dealing with others are essential.

Charlotte Taylor

Senior Search Consultant – MedTech & Clinical

My career has been focused upon the Medical sector, both clinical and more specialised appointments. Having been exposed to different areas of the industry I have built up a strong network within the general Medical sector and especially within Harley Street.

My key focus within Bigg Group is on the placement of candidates at mid to senior level within Medical Technology including Artificial Intelligence, 3D Modelling, Medical Device and Robotics.

My experience includes partnering with a combination of private clinics, hospitals and large international companies, having been retained on several specialist assignments. As a result of my knowledge within the sector, I regularly attend industry exhibitions and conferences and have been invited to present on several occasions.

My approach to campaigns has been to continually develop an extensive network of medical specialists and building strong relationships with passive candidates and Med Tech companies.
