Gary Wilkinson


Born on the banks of the Tyne, I entered the world of Recruitment in Brighton back in the mid 1980’s. An ability to create and maintain lasting professional relationships based on trust, endeavour and good humour has sustained my enthusiasm for the Industry ever since!

Bigg Group is an international specialist search firm focused on outsourcing, technology and communication companies. I believe it’s vital to take a personal approach in recruitment and prefer to travel to meet clients and candidates face-to-face to help me better understand their business and career aspirations. We are operating in exciting times and I now see tremendous opportunities for the identification of business leaders in the rapidly expanding world of digitisation and the convergence of tech and Communication technologies. Bigg Group currently serves this market both in the UK and overseas.

I have lived and breathed recruitment for as long as I can remember, both across agency and in-house for major blue-chip companies. My career has spanned UK and international markets, having spent 9 years in NZ. I have been able to demonstrate growth in a variety of sectors, primarily within professional services.

Over the years, we’ve witnessed the recruitment landscape  shift with social and technological advances. As a result, I believe a focus on effective recruitment and hiring the right candidate has never been more important. In achieving this I have shown commitment and a strong ability to forge lasting relationships through trust and being personable. I work in close collaboration with clients and candidates.

I take a creative and proactive approach to sourcing candidates, particularly uncovering the passive market and networking communities. I always maintain integrity and discretion with everyone I engage with.

James Paskett


I am an experienced senior recruiter with over 15 years’ experience in the Data Centre, Technology and Construction & Engineering sectors.

Over the last 10 years I have placed senior level candidates (Director, VP and Managing Director) across all the functional practices - Operations, Engineering & Construction, Sales & Marketing, Commercial and Corporate Services this has been within the Data Centre and Technology Real Estate sector. With a number of my key Clients, I have run searches (both Executive and Confidential Searches) to hire leadership positions both in the UK and Globally. I have built longstanding relationships with a number of key decision makers in the Data Centre industry resulting in repeat business, helping companies to grow their existing teams and new ecosystems.

My approach with both Clients and Candidates is consultative and understanding, I demonstrate a commitment to integrity and ethics to both parties. Having worked in the Data Centre Sector for over 10 years, I have an excellent network of contacts and regularly consult with Leaders on market trends. I attend a number of the Industry shows and with the uptake of Cloud, Hyperscale and Edge this is market that is going from strength to strength.

My background spans over a decade working within the Telecoms / IT markets as an International Head-hunter. I have managed teams and have successfully delivered global recruitment assignments working with System Integrators and Software Vendors from around the world.

My aim is to help clients working with disruptive technologies that need to attract highly skilled Technical / Operational / Sales / Marketing individuals. 

My focus at Bigg Group is to ensure we are continually embracing and adopting agile service models that exceed our customers’ expectations.

As a specialist within the cutting-edge technology domain his key focus at Bigg Group is on the placement of candidates at a senior level within Infrastructure, Cloud, DevOps, Architecture and Software Engineering.

He has a strong background in partnering with some of the UK’s largest and most successful blue-chip businesses, software vendors, Fintech and start-up companies.

I work deep within the Technology market, providing 20 years of consulting experience to candidates and clients alike. Leading the firm’s industry 4.0 practice means I am living and breathing advancements of humans and technology on a daily basis. My skill set oversets the standard recruitment service as I focus on building a truly transparent and scalable talent provision which works in true partnership with the individual or business driving a change in vision.

My team and I are always looking to engage with customers looking for a “better” solution to their hiring needs or candidates that want a transparent, proactive and informative consulting services

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my wife and five children, playing competitive/national level under water Hockey and continuing my interest in board sports (Skateboarding in particular).
