As soon as a Local Authority (LA) is aware that it has been invited to participate in a BSF Wave, it should start preparing for the project.

When an LA is due to start work on its BSF project it will be contacted by its allocated Partnerships for Schools (PfS) project director and DfES project adviser.

These people will work closely with the LA throughout the project. Initially, they will help to identify the first steps that need to be taken.
