My client is a world renowned investment group and their recently launched global investment management function - is one of the world’s largest MultiManager investment businesses. As Head of Structured Products you will be responsible for building a team to innovate: creating, delivering, monitoring and maintaining Structured Products for the Group.  The Head will shape and build the Structured Products team and will be responsible for shaping the product vision (including gathering and prioritizing the product and customer requirements), whilst working closely with the Investment Team, Business Development and Marketing in order to deliver market leading structured products that range from closed ended tranche based solutions to open ended UCITs vehicles. The incumbent will be have the following responsibilities: Set product strategy; Build a team to support the Group's Structured Product needs; Evaluate commercial viability of new and existing structured products; Liaise with the Group companies and external contacts to frame the demand; Create innovative and best in class structured products to meet their clients needs, from structured notes to UCITs vehicles; Elicit support from the Investment Team where possible to build on their strength in multi-manager fund investing; Manage relationships with Investment Banks to ensue they deliver outstanding support for the products; Support and educate internal marketing, business development and salesforces with respect to structured product range. Applicants should possess a deep understanding of the Structured Products markets across Europe; Product development capability to convert this understanding into product strategy and new product delivery; Specific experience in different vehicle types including, Structured Equity linked notes, CPPI structures, structured UCITS vehicles and life/pensions wrappers; Deep knowledge of funds based structured products solutions; Outstanding complex derivatives knowledge, including structuring and pricing, to ensure efficient manufacture; Strong relationships with major Investment Banks to support Structured Product manufacturing, and ability to demonstrate effective management of these outsourced relationships; Knowledge of relevant European legal requirements; Proven project management skills; Proven man-management skills; Strong attention to detail. Desirable would be a knowledge of Latin American and/or Asian structured products markets. You will be a commercially driven individual with specific experience in manufacturing structured products for the European retail and institutional markets; A Graduate, possibly in mathematical or physical sciences with experience of derivative pricing models and related software.
